Overview

One of Annapurna's best-kept secrets — a relatively new trail off the beaten path with superb close-up views of Mardi Himal, Machhapuchhre (Fishtail), and Annapurna. High Camp at 4,500m gives a panorama that rivals anything in Nepal.

Route

Pokhara → Kande → Forest Camp → Low Camp → High Camp (4,500m) → Mardi Himal Viewpoint → Sidhing → Pokhara

Hidden gem — better views than many famous routes

I'd read about Mardi Himal on a forum and took a chance. So glad I did — the High Camp views of Fishtail (Machhapuchhre) are extraordinary, and you barely see another trekker. Himalayan Eco Treks found me a last-minute guide at 48 hours notice. Very professional.
